We had our Air Source Heat Pump system fitted in June 2021 by Chris and his team when he was then contracted to a terrible heating company, his workmanship was first class, working at the time under awful circumstances because of the lack of communication with the Company who contracted him to do the job i.e supplies arriving at different times, therefore wasting his time and effort, although he over came all the logistical problems and got the system up and running.
This is a very complicated system which requires a lot of technical input which Chris has in abundance. He now has his own independent company and we have been fortunate enough to have him to carry out our servicing and give us his expert advice on how to operate the system. We were so pleased with his work that we recently had him to replace all our old radiators which he and his team carried out the installation with care and consideration.

Chris Ruane and his assistants installed the air source heat pump system in my house towards the end of 2021. His business, now known as ‘The Heat Pump Guys’ also carried out the first annual service of the system at the end of 2022.
I have found Chris to be very knowledgeable and the standard of his work is excellent. The heating system works very well

Heat Pump installation at Tilehurst, Reading
Chris Ruane and team installed an Air-source Heat Pump system in my house at Fairway Avenue, Tilehurst, Reading, RG39, in September 2021.
The system worked well , both hot water and all thirteen radiators, all winter.
Chris and mate serviced the system in September,2022, and it has worked well since.
Chris has been assiduous in his attendance, punctual and pleasant, explaining and advising, so I trust him implicitly.

Chris and his team have visited our property on 2 separate occasions, firstly to remove the existing gas central heating boiler and install an air source heat pump in October 2021 and a year later to service it, do a system power flush and replace some radiators.
At all times we were very impressed with everyone working at our property.
The team’s work ethic was outstanding, starting with the unbelievably early arrival at our house every day. It would be hard to match the team’s stamina for working tirelessly for 12,13 and 11 hours respectively on the 3 days they were here; with only 1 short break each day and considering the distance they all travelled to get here, this was amazing. On the second occasion they stayed late to finish the job and didn’t leave until they were satisfied that we were happy with the work. Chris was very good at explaining the workings of what is a quite different system to the usual gas boiler. He gave us tips on how to make it more efficient, and these are working well.
The whole team showed a huge level of skill and knowledge of the system and an evident wish to do their absolute best at all times. They were all totally customer focussed, keeping us fully informed as necessary and showing us that they all really knew what they were doing. Nothing was ever too much trouble for anyone, and we really appreciated the politeness and care shown towards us and our property at all times. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Heat Pump installation at Camberley, Surrey
A review should always try to be objective and give the reader a real sense of the subject matter. We can only speak to the work carried out in our house by The Heat Pump Guys which has over the last two years included the installation of an air source heat pump connected to the former gas fired central heating system together with new radiators throughout and all the electrical control system. A full chemical flush of the existing system. Further the installation of an en-suite bathroom fittings and furniture, a new kitchen tap and the service of the ASHP system after one year. Yes we have done a lot of work!
There are good and bad 'companies' what really matters are the people who run/are employed by those companies.
We can only recommend the Heat Pump Guys (run by Chris Ruane) as being competent, honest and reliable for your requirements. We are happy to be called to verify our testimonial.

Heat Pump installation at Wass, York
Our Heat Pump was installed 8 months ago and barring power cuts it has never missed a beat. It did take me little while to get used to the system but now I’m confident it will deliver the heat and water I need when I want it.
Our house was built in 1965 but following renovation and several modifications it is now well insulated. This meant that the energy survey undertaken allowed the Heat Pump to be sized accurately.
The installation of the system was managed by Chris and his team over 3 days and I must say I was impressed by the knowledge and quality of the installation.
Communication
The team kept us continually informed of progress and consulted us before any minor changes necessary due to installation were implemented.
Quality of Installation
Excellent, high quality materials used. Electrical cabling and control systems all very tidy and cable routes minimised.
Cleanliness
Every day the installation was left clean and tidy with temporary access points to the outside sealed – essential when living in the country!
Commissioning and handover
The system operation was explained thoroughly and Chris’s mobile number was left with instructions to contact him if we had further queries. I did have occasion to use this the day after they left and Chris answered my query fully and immediately.
Overall
We have had many installation teams over the years in our house but Chris’s team are probably one of the best, Professional and courteous, Well done
